FAQ
Why we discontinued the Combined download
In an effort to respect the creators: combined zips bypass author analytics and royalties.
This change also improves version accuracy: manual links ensure you always get the latest
releases from the source; maintenance: keeping a mega-zip in sync caused confusion and stale
mods.
What should you do now?
Download the Map Only zip above for your preferred version, and then, if needed, install
the required mods from the Dependencies & Credits list below.
Mods on the official ModHub can be pulled in automatically by the game.
Restart the game and select the map; the launcher will prompt you to install any missing ModHub
items.
Which version should I choose: RCS-Ready or Vanilla?
RCS-Ready offers beautiful crop rows and curved planting using ThundR's Row Crop
System (RCS) and Precision Farming. It uses 16k density maps and is best for
higher-end PCs (recommend 32GB RAM and 8-12GB VRAM). RCS is currently private
for
ThundR's Patreon subscribers and is not bundled.
Guidance indicates a potential public and free release of RCS very soon. Monitor updates on ThundR's Paetron or public itch.io page for more
information.
Vanilla is the standard map without RCS and uses smaller density maps. Choose
this if you don't have access to RCS or prefer lower system requirements.
What happens if I use the RCS map without the RCS mod?
Your planted fields will display as a solid fill of the crop instead of individual rows. Install
RCS to see proper rows and spacing.
Why isn't the RCS mod in the Combined download?
The Row Crop System is currently private and distributed by ThundR to Patreon subscribers. We
respect that and do not bundle it. A public free release is expected soon.
How do I install the map?
Download the map zip and place it in your FS25 mods directory (most common in
C:\Users\...\Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\mods). Then install the required mods from
the
Dependencies & Credits section. Restart the game and start a new
career on the map.
Why do I not see all of the vehicles?
The map is designed to only spawn a subset of the vehicles at Gage Grain when the mode is set to
"Start from Scratch" or "Farm Manager." If you want all of the intended vehicles to spawn,
choose "New Farmer."
Can I download all of the required mods in one go?
No. The combined package has been discontinued to support mod authors and version accuracy.
Use the links in Dependencies & Credits to download the required mods.
Items on the official ModHub
will automatically download in-game when you load a save that requires them.
Does the map represent a real place?
Yes, the map is a fictional depiction of the Gage community in Kentucky (view on Google Maps). Although not all
structures are realistic, the terrain, fields, placement, and style is consistent with reality.
What is the current state of the map?
The current version is a late-stage preview release. The map is playable but still in active
development: some features are experimental, balancing and AI pathing may be incomplete, and
additional polish is planned for field boundaries, entries, and terrain. Recommend using this
version for testing and feedback; for stable play wait for the 1.0 release. See the credits for
required dependency mods.
Can I download the map for console?
Not currently. There are certain restrictions on publishing mods to modhub for console; due to
this, there is no guarantee that this map is approved or published (likely not, due to some of
the dependencies).
How much does the map cost?
The map and all of its dependencies are free. Depending on where you download the dependencies,
the original creators may get a royalty.
